Micro-fabrication techniques for fuel cell manufacturing

Abstract

This presentation will cover various non-MEMS micro-fabrication techniques such as electrical discharge, elecrtochemical, laser, turning and milling used to make micro parts needed in many industries and applications including fuel cell manufacturing. Besides recent theoretical and experimental research of these techniques and thier applications, this presentation will discuss the latest findings resulting from a WTEC study on micro-manufacturing. The WTEC study team panel (author being one of the five panel members) visited many industries, research organizations and universities in Europe, Japan, Taiwan and Korea.
