Abstract

A previously healthy Hispanic toddler developed novel H1N1 influenza infection, which was complicated by Listeria monocytogenes meningitis. Typical manifestations of listeriosis and the association of viral respiratory tract infections with invasive bacterial superinfections are discussed in the context of this novel complication.
