Abstract

The importance of addressing the issues connected to information technology (IT) for developing countries needs to be recognized, and researchers and practitioners from the developing world need to play more significant role in the information system (IS) mainstream. An exchange of ideas and experiences among IS professionals from both developed and developing countries results in an increase awareness of IT. Learning will take place bi-directionally, particularly given the increasingly global nature of international business.
