Abstract

Magnetization and ESR spectroscopic data indicate a high‐spin ground state (S = 4) for 1 in frozen solution. A related acyclic pentaradical also has a high‐spin ground state (S = 5/2). These compounds may be the first step towards understanding the impact of defects on spin coupling in multi‐site molecules. (Figure Presented.)
