Abstract

: The Indian Ocean sea hare Dolabella auricularia has been found to contain a novel cytostatic (PS ED50 0.022 µg/mL) cyclodepsipeptide designated dolastatin 14. Structure 1 was assigned dolastatin 14 and was deduced primarily by a series of 2D NMR studies at high field (400 MHz).
